There is a written statement circulating on Lyme disease.

Written declaration under Rule 136 of the Rules of Procedure of the European Parliament on Lyme disease

1. Lyme disease is a bacterial disease that affects humans and many animals, including dogs, cats and horses.
2. It is in full development, especially in Europe, the United States and in 65 countries in total.
3. It can evolve over several years or decades through several stages but the screening, treatment or chronic aspect of this disease are currently controversial in the medical world between experts.
4. Lyme disease, because of the great diversity of symptoms, can lead to many erroneous diagnoses.
5. The Commission and the Council are invited to adopt a comprehensive strategy to address the challenges posed by Lyme disease. There is a need for further research in the area of ​​prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
6. The Commission and the Council, together with the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), are also invited to launch a Lyme disease awareness and prevention campaign for the public and health professionals in Europe. Europe.
7. This declaration, together with the names of the signatories, shall be sent to the Council and the Commission. This declaration must have the signatures of the majority of the members of the European Parliament, for the subject to be addressed!

That means 377 out of 751 members.

All European Parliamentarians have received this “Written Declaration” ! Our task will be to encourage them to sign it !
To do this we will write to all the deputies of all the countries of Europe !
I received the “Written Declaration” in the language of each country.
We will work with translators to write a cover letter in the language of each member of parliament.
And we hope to reach at least 377 signatures before July 27, 2016, the ultimate date !
