Lyme-int

Lyme disease is a disease that occurs worldwide, mainly transmitted by ticks, but not only by them !

We know through Luc Montagnier, Nobel Prize winner for medicine, that there is a serious problem of sub-diagnosis of Lyme Borreliosis and all his co-infections !

But we also know that the epidemic that causes this disease worldwide is very much underestimated !

Lyme-int

We can relate it to the vagueness of the danger of infection during a blood transfusion, or through an organ donation, or through sexual intercourse, and also through the transfer from mother to child in the womb !

This is due to the complexity of the disease, but also due to a lack of reliable laboratory tests. For this reason we Lyme patients ask, more research, more reliable tests, an adapted treatment !

Lyme-int

Children are at higher risk for contracting Lyme disease. It is for this reason that we work in collaboration with the Association Enfance Lyme & Co located in France.

They made a little prevention book against tick bites for children directed by Dan Le Baudet

It’s a beautiful story, well written and beautifully illustrated. Besides the originality of style, the usefulness of this book is not to be underestimated. Amédé and his tick.

You can buy it in our Boutique.

Marleen Deglin

Founder of Lyme-int association

At 56 years, after almost 14 years of disability and 35 years of illness and medical error, I finally get the diagnosis of lyme disease …

Since februari 2016 we have sent emails to all Belgian and European members of parliament requesting awareness for Lyme disease.

With the result that the resolution that had already been drafted a few years earlier was finally voted unanimously in plenary on May 26, 2016.
This resulted in the drafting of a resolution on Lyme disease. This resolution was voted in plenary session on November 15, 2018 unanimously !

How to remove a tick

Manual extraction or with tweezers rarely allows the complete extraction of the tick.

The head that often remains in the skin is often the cause of a local infection.
